2,000 Vectrons built

As part of a ceremonial event at the München works on 23 July 2026, Siemens Mobility handed over the 2,000th Vectron. This anniversary locomotive - 1293 164 - was built for ÖBB. A year ago, the 1,750th Vectron was presented, the landmark thousandth locomotive was delivered in October 2021, to DSB.
With nearly 3,000 locomotives sold since its market launch in 2012, ordered by more than 115 customers, the Vectron stands as Europe’s best-selling and most versatile locomotive platform. The locomotives are approved in 20 countries and are uniquely certified for speeds of up to 230 km/h in passenger service. Siemens Mobility is consistently advancing the platform further with the Vectron X.
