BEMUs for ZSSK

On 3 December 2025, ZSSK signed a contract with the ŠKODA TRANSPORTATION - ŽOS Trnava consortium for delivery of the RegioPanter BEMUs.
"ZSSK's primary ambition is to acquire 16 units worth approx. 144 million EUR without VAT. The contract will become effective only after securing funding from the Slovakia Program (finance from EU funds). The contract also includes an option for another 20 units. ZSSK plans to operate the BEMUs in the Nitra, Trenčín, Trnava and Žilina regions, but also according to operational needs, in 2028 at the earliest."
