Class EP2K locomotive in T car design

On 1 September 2025, Kolomensky zavod (KZ) completed electric locomotive EP2K-510 with a new paint scheme, designed for trains with the latest gabarit T cars. The design was created together with RZD, and the first such train with T cars will run on the Moskva - St. Peterburg route. T gauge cars offer greater comfort compared to the long-distance cars currently in operation.

KZ has already produced eight Class EP2K locomotives in blue and white for the „Aurora“ train, which also runs on the Moskva - St. Peterburg route.
