First RegioPanter in Estonia

On 9 June 2024, RegioPanter 3340 was prepared for transport to Estonia in Riga, having arrived exactly two months earlier by road from the Czech Republic to the Vagonu Parks depot to complete the final assembly, which could not be fully carried out in Ostrava due to the war in Ukraine.

On Monday 10 June, unit 3340 set off for its new home, this time on rail, but still idle, pulled by a diesel locomotive. From Riga to Valga (border station in Estonia), the locomotive 2TE116-788 of the Latvian company Baltijas Ekspresis was used. From Valga to Pääsküla depot, south-west of Tallinn, a Class C30-M locomotive, No. 1560, of the Estonian company Operail, hauled the train.
