Liebherr HVAC systems for Saudi Arabia Railways

Liebherr-Transportation Systems has been commissioned by Stadler Rail Schweiz to supply heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems that will be installed in a new fleet of Intercity DMUs for Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR). The train will operate on the extended east-west corridor, which connects important regions of Saudi Arabia and supports the ambitious expansion of the country's railway infrastructure. The initial order comprises ten units, each consisting of five passenger coaches and two power cars, with an option for ten additional DMUs.
“This order is proof of our technical expertise,” said Roland Friedrich, Deputy General Manager at Liebherr-Transportation Systems Mannheim. “It is a major milestone for us and demonstrates our ability and commitment to delivering high-performance, reliable climate system solutions for demanding applications worldwide.
