A new OMNEO on test at Velim

This is an OCE2 trainset for the Centre-Val de Loire Region, which has arrived in Velim for tests at the speed of 200 km/h in order to validate the integration of an on-board ETCS.

Seven of these OMNEO EMUs (Type Regio2N) were ordered in June 2023, to be delivered in 2026. They will replace the locomotive hauled Corail trains on the Paris- Etampes - Orléans omnibus line (train that serves all stations), also known as the Beauce line.

They are the same EMUs as the 32 OCE units already delivered to the Centre-Val de Loire Region, which are, however, without the ETCS.
