Knorr-Bremse Will Deliver Its Systems For The Coradia Stream Trains

On 25 February 2022, Knorr-Bremse announced that it signed a long-term framework contract with Alstom to supply systems for the Coradia Stream  family.

Starting in 2022, Knorr-Bremse will supply for three major projects for Trenitalia and DSB, as well as for the Expresskreuz Bremen network (LNVG) in Germany its electropneumatic braking systems, including the PistonSupply Eco oil-free compressors, the FlexControl flexible brake control units, the SysControl electronic brake control system, electromagnetic track brakes and sanding systems. The Group will also supply its entrance systems from its brand IFE and modular, scalable heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems from Merak.

It is anticipated that the work will continue until 2024. The combined value of the initial orders is in the low three-digit million euro range. The contract includes an option for a three-year extension until 2028.
