RailAdventure uses EURO6000 locomotive

RailAdventure which is leading specialist for exceptional rail transport, commissioning and test runs, acting as a neutral rail operator in several European countries, is continuously expanding its working range. In this context, RailAdventure is now expanding its international capabilities with the deployment of a Type EURO6000 locomotive.
It was ordered in 2023 at Stadler Rail Valencia, arrived Germany in September 2025 and was located at company‘s Zughotel in Braunschweig. The 120 km/h Co’Co’ locomotive built is designed 1.5 and 3 kV DC and 25 kV 50 Hz and has a 6,170 kW output and a starting tractive effort of 500 kN. It was presented in mid-December 2025.
Jörg Schurig, RailAdventure‘s Managing Director, explains: ‘With this locomotive we want to strengthen our French subsidiary RailAdventure France S. A. S. in cross-border transport to Spain, Belgium and Luxembourg. Above all, we want to use this ETCS-compatible vehicle to gradually open the market for test and acceptance runs in France for our European customers. We see great potential in the French railway market, which we would like to develop together with our European customers on a French national level.’
The locomotive designated 91 87 0006 031-5 F-RADVE is company‘s second one destined for operation in France after a Class DE18 diesel locomotive.
