On 19 August 2021, the fiftieth Lajkonik (TANGO) tram arrived from the Stadler Siedlce works at the MPK Kraków Podgórze depot.
On 3 February 2021, Lajkonik RY832 was brought to the Podgórze tram depot.
On 2 December 2020, MPK Kraków has started tests of the Lajkonik tram RY825 in a catenary-free mode in regular passenger service.
On 4 November 2020 an agreement was signed with Stadler, which will allow MPK Kraków to take the option to purchase additional 25 Lajkonik trams.
This year, for the first time in 73 years, the inhabitants of Kraków did not see the procession of Lajkonik, one of the oldest traditions with a 200-year history.
On 29 April 2020 MPK Kraków has ordered further TANGO Lajkonik trams from Stadler - a framework agreement worth around 114 million EUR for up to 60 new trams has been signed. On the same day two contracts for the delivery of 10 and 25 vehicles were confirmed, worth totaling 293 million PLN.
