In February this year, VR announced that they will start operating new services under the name Pendolino Plus on the routes from Helsinki to Turku and Oulu at the end of 2025, where they will partially replace the existing InterCity and Pendolino trains.

On 20 May 2025, TVZ received a certificate of conformity with the TR TS 001/2011 for Model 61-4533 single-deck compartment car.

TMH has created a new Class DP2D train, which consists of a six-axle Class TEP70BS diesel passenger locomotive and cars from the Class EP2DM EMU.

In early March 2025, the first single-deck gabarit T (T loading gauge) prototype car of Model 61-4533, built at TVZ, has begun approval testing.

In 2024, TVZ produced the first Model 61-4533 coach in gabarit T (T loading gauge) with enlarged dimensions, intended for further acceptance, certification and operational tests.

On 19 December 2024, the renewed "Aurora" ("Avrora") express, which runs between Moskva and St. Petersburg, started regular service.

On 27 November 2024, TVZ received a certificate of compliance with the requirements of the Customs Union Technical Regulation TR TS 001/2011 "On the safety of railway rolling stock" for the improved Model 61-4492 double-deck carriage with seats, and Model 68-4120 bogie.

The Russian bank VEB.RF started financing TVZ's project to produce new passenger cars.

On 30 September 2024, Kolomensky zavod held a solemn ceremony of handing over the EP2K-500 locomotive to RZD.

On 6 June 2024, at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, a mock-up of the interior of the new carriage for "Aurora" train to be operated by FPK, was presented at the RZD stand. 

Uralskie lokomotivy has increased the scope of the contract for the supply of EMUs.

Taking into account the wishes of operators and in order to improve passenger comfort, the TMH Engineering centre has developed a non-powered intermediate car for the Class EP2DM EMUs with a toilet.

On 27 November 2023, Uralskiye Lokomotivy delivered the first four new Lastochkas to RZD. 

On 8 November 2023 UL held a meeting of the interdepartmental commission  for the acceptance of the new Class ES104.

On 30 October 2023 TMH announced that the Class EGE2Tv Ivolga 4.0 prototype has successfully completed part of the tests at the Belorechenskaya test line.
