On 31 January 2024, Griffin E4MSUa-002 (5370 078) was sent from Poland to the VUZ test centre at Velim to start the first tests of the new multiple-voltage version outside Poland.
At the beginning of August this year, PKP IC launched a tender for the purchase of 46 single-voltage locomotives with a maximum speed of 160 km/h and with the on-board ETCS Level 2 for use on national lines.
The locomotive E4MSUa-001 from the batch, which is now being built for PKP IC by Newag, has reached a speed of 240 km/h.
