On 14 August 2020 Škoda Transportation announced that it will invest 460 million CZK (around 18 million EUR) in Šumperk-based Pars nova works over the next four years.
On 26 July 2020, the first four of the 50 new Viaggio Comfort cars ordered by České dráhy from the Siemens-Škoda consortium were transported from ŠKODA VAGONKA of Ostrava to the VUZ Velim test center for authorisation tests.
