In a project initially scheduled to run for three years, Voith and Siemens Mobility want to develop new and more efficient strategies for overhauling automatic Scharfenberg couplings
On 4 November 2021, PJ Monitoring (PJM) of Graz and Voith of Heidenheim agreed a collaboration over the next few years to develop a system that will enable automatic formation of a freight train from wagons fitted with automatic couplings and the safe remote uncoupling of wagons with an automatic couplings.
Voith will perform the work locally in its Kazan plant.
Voith Group and PCS Holding are planning to acquire a combined 59 % of the shares in Traktionssysteme Austria GmbH. A corresponding purchase contract was signed on 29 April 2020.
