Almost exactly one year later, Praha main station experienced another milestone in the ComfortJet project: while on 9 April 2024 the first train, the then temporarily configured eight-car unit, was officially presented here for the first time, on 14 April 2025 the complete nine-car unit ran from the same station for its first passenger service.
In 2024, Siemens Mobility sold over 360 Vectrons, the plan is now to produce 385 Vectrons annually to meet the growing demand for locomotives and associated services.
Since September, ComfortJet NMUs have been deployed on the SC 240/241 "Košičan" Prague - Ostrava - Košice and EC 178/175 and EC 176/177 "Berliner" Prague - Berlin - Prague services.
On the occasion of InnoTrans, ČD deployed for the first time a non-traction ComfortJet unit, namely 004, on the EC "Berliner" services on 24 and 25 September.
Starting Sunday 29 September 2024, ČD uses two ComfortJet non-traction multiple units (Nos. 004 and 005) into regular passenger service on the EC 178/175 and EC 176/177 "Berliner" Praha - Berlin trains.
On 25 September, ČD, Siemens Mobility and Škoda Group presented the ComfortJet cars to the public.
On 9 April 2024 a joint event of ČD, Siemens and Škoda took place at Praha hl. n. station presenting the new ComfortJet non-traction unit (NMU).
On 4 March 2024, ČD, in cooperation with the Siemens Mobility and Škoda Group production consortium, started training employees on ComfortJet non-traction multiple units (NMUs).
On 22 December 2023, the car Afmpz 80-90 020, the second ComfortJet driving trailer, arrived for testing to Velim.
After the four cars from the first shortened, six-car ComfortJet test set were transported from VUZ Velim test circuit to Austria on 10 November 2023, they already started the tests on the ÖBB network.
Less than two weeks after its presentation to ČD representatives at the Siemens Mobility plant in München, the first completed ComfortJet driving trailer was transferred to the VUZ Velim Test Centre.
The Siemens Mobility - Škoda Transportation consortium continues the work on the contract for twenty ComfortJet units.
