On 27 January 2026, it was announced that Metropolitan Area Transport, Helsinki City Transport, and Länsimetro, the entities that own, manage and operate the Helsinki metro, confirmed awarding a contract to CAF for the modernisation of the entire signalling infrastructure using the CBTC system developed by CAF, called OPTIO.
On 15 January 2026, CAF has been awarded a contract by SNCF Voyageurs to supply an additional ten Régiolis EDMUs, valued at approximately 80 million EUR, to be operated in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in southwestern France.
CAF-led consortium (RTI), which includes AET S. r. l., Francesco Ventura Costruzioni Ferroviarie S. r. l., Mer Mec STE S. r. l. and Leonardo S. p. In early December 2025, CAF has secured a new contract in France worth approximately 250 million EUR for SNCF Voyageurs, which ordered 22 Régiolis EMUs for operation in "Région Sud" (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur).
The latest addition to the tests at the VUZ Velim centre is the Coradia HEMU prototype.
In July 2025, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has begun supplying CAF with traction equipment for 60 trains (300 cars in total) in the Double-Decker New Generation (DDNG) EMUs ordered by NS.
On 23 July 2025 it was announced that further to the resolution of the Council of State, the SNCB Board of Directors confirmed CAF as the preferred bidder for the Type AM30 train development, manufacturing and supply.
On 9 July 2025, CAF started the new construction and modernisation of the historic depot in Gelsenkirchen-Bismarck with a symbolic ground-breaking ceremony.
One of the contracts is for the Urbos trams for Grenoble, the second one for Coradia Polyvalent regional trains.
At the VUZ Velim test centre are now ot test two Civity Nordic EMUs from the order for Krösatågen.
These are two new train maintenance contracts, worth more than 100 million EUR in total, under which CAF will carry out maintenance work on train fleets that it has supplied.
In early June 2025, CAF entered into a framework agreement with the Malaysian construction company Gamuda Berhard to supply up to 23 Urbos trams.
The company has recently signed two new servicing contracts in the UK and Colombia, with a total worth of almost 400 million EUR.
Traktionssysteme Austria has secured a significant service contract for the maintenance of its traction motors in CAF Urbos 3 trams in Belgrade.
