Following the approval of TRAXX3 MS locomotives with software version VR01.5, another important and related development took place: the start of their regular operation in Austria.
On 8 July 2025, a key meeting was held at ČMŽO - elektronika, Přerov, with the representatives of ČMŽO - elektronika, ANGELSTAR, Siemens Mobility and TRAMECo Systems. ANGELSTAR, a joint venture between Stadler and MERMEC, is with its GUARDIA system another OBU ETCS manufacturer entering the Czech market.
On 23 July 2025, second RegioJet's Class 162 locomotive was seen on a test run in České Budějovice after being reconstructed to a dual-voltage version.
As can be seen from the records in the ERA TV database, on 2 July 2025, the ERA issued a type approval for the TRAXX3 MS with software version VR01.5, which is a major step for its operational deployment and interoperability.
On 16 April 2025, it was possible to see the first "pershing" of RegioJet in Přerov after the reconstruction to a dual-voltage locomotive.
On 1 April 2025, RegioJet introduced the new PESA-built EMUs for the PID (Pražská integrovaná doprava, Prague integrated transport).
Another Class 655 EMU has arrived in the Czech Republic, i. e. one of seven three-car units of the Regio160 type, which RegioJet has ordered from PESA Bydgoszcz.
After a test operation with passengerswith 665.002 from the beginning of February 2024 to the end of May 2024 on the R23 Kolín - Ústí nad Labem line and after subsequent verification of parameters by the RegioJet with further deployment of the Class 665 from the end of October, the Siriuses have become a common sight on the route between the two cities since 15 December 2024.
On 14 December 2024, HHLA Project Logistics successfully completed its first loading operation in the Port of Hamburg.
On 24 October 2024, test runs of RegioJet locomotives 388.216 and 219 took place in and around Olomouc for the RSC (Radio System Compatibility) tests related to ETCS.
On 15 October 2024, Alstom concluded an addendum on the contract with Škoda Group for the supply of the ETCS Level 2 for trains to be manufactured by Škoda for RegioJet.
On 29 September 2024, six new TRAXX3 MS locomotives were transported from Kassel to RegioJet's base in Praha-Malešice.
After the unit 665.002 started testing under ETCS supervision on the Czech network at the beginning of June, the same EMU appeared again in September in Olomouc.
Over the past few weeks, RegioJet has sold back to Germany 28 second class carriages originally from the DB Fernverkehr fleet.
An era in RegioJet's operations came to an end when the last of the Vectrons on long-term lease from ELL, 193 226, was returned on 14 July 2024.
