On 29 April 2020 MPK Kraków has ordered further TANGO Lajkonik trams from Stadler - a framework agreement worth around 114 million EUR for up to 60 new trams has been signed. On the same day two contracts for the delivery of 10 and 25 vehicles were confirmed, worth totaling 293 million PLN.
JHMD is currently completing the repair of the diesel railcar M 27.004, which was damaged in April 2018 by a head-on collision with a tractor in the Včelnička station.

On 16 April 2020 PKP Cargo published tender for five multi-system locomotives. This is the last of the PKP Cargo’s batches of those vehicles, for which 50 % of the purchase price is to be supported by EU’s Cohesion funds through the POIiŚ (Program Operacyjny Infrastruktura i Środowisko - OP Infrastructure and Environment), supporting purchase of technics for intermodal transport in Poland.
A 1,520 mm gauge Evolution, the GE-built demonstrator, also visited Poland. This diesel locomotive paid a visit from Kazakhstan to Poland in 2015, for evaluation by PKP LHS, the subsidiary responsible for operation of the freight-only, non-electrified 1,520 mm gauge 394 km Line 65. The visit took place in May and June 2015, following almost a 5,500 km long journey.
