On 30 June 2022, ODEG together with representatives from the states of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Berlin, Brandenburg and Saxony-Anhalt and the transport authorities VBB-Verkehrsverbund Berlin-Brandenburg, Nahverkehrsservice Sachsen-Anhalt and Verkehrsgesellschaft Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, ceremonially signed the transport contract for the Elbe-Spree network.

On 9 August 2022, Stadler and DB Regio have signed a supply contract for 19 FLIRT XL EMUs for use on the MoselLux network. 

On 20 July 2022, Russia's first full-unit contrailer train with Model 13-6987 platform wagons manufactured by Transmash ran from Silikatnaya station (south of Moskva) to Novosibirsk.
